Natura Loci
Who we are
Natura Loci is a family company based in Piétrebais, in Walloon Brabant. We supply large-calibre flower bulbs, wildflower meadow seed and agri-environmental (MAEC) mixtures, and we plant bulbs by machine on areas too large to plant by hand. Our clients are towns and municipalities, cemetery departments, Walloon farmers, golf courses, private estates and landscapers, throughout Belgium.
Michel Dereau, co-director, is your contact in the field. He comes to see the plot, the soil and the aspect, advises on the mixture and the planting density, and runs the mechanised planting sites from September to December.
Max Dereau, co-director, handles quotations, public tenders and logistics. He answers price requests, prepares the technical descriptions for tender documents and organises deliveries.
Both can be reached directly by telephone or WhatsApp, in French, Dutch or English. A written request receives an answer within 24 working hours.
Every project starts with a site visit, with no obligation. We then price by area, never from a catalogue flat rate, with the mixture, the density per square metre and the price in writing. The bulbs are delivered in large calibre and planted in the right season, with our machines and our teams, or supplied on their own if you plant them yourself.
For municipalities preparing a tender, we write the technical description of the special specifications free of charge, with the clauses that guarantee calibre, density and execution. The template is published on the page model specifications.
We work with European bulb and seed growers selected for their calibres and the purity of their mixtures, and we remain the client's single point of contact, from order to flowering.

At Chapelle-lez-Herlaimont, 60,000 bulbs of pick-your-own flowers planted in the cemeteries in 2022, a first in French-speaking Belgium.
The sites are presented one by one on the page projects.
RTBF followed the first phase of the Cinquantenaire park planting in November 2022, 540,000 bulbs over 6,000 m² for Beliris and Brussels Environment, with Michel Dereau explaining how the flowering relays from February to the end of summer. Read the RTBF article. BX1 covered the same site. Read the BX1 article. RTC Télé Liège filmed the 6,000 m² strip planted with bulbs and then sown as a wildflower meadow along the Albert Canal, at AIDE's Oupeye water treatment plant, in October 2022. Watch the report.
